Lost LCT Ancestors

If the LCT ancestors you are researching have disappeared from the area, I would suggest checking Fayette County, Texas (between Houston and Austin) and the surrounding counties. Judging from a letter in my possession, dated 1857, a family/ community group from Lincoln County moved to the Fayette County, TX area (county seat La Grange) in the mid-1850's. Some of the names mentioned as living in Texas in my 1857 letter are Ruben and Sarah Stramler, William Jackson, Fletcher King and O. P. Bruce. I'm told that large family/community groups often moved together.
Some of the counties surrounding Fayette are Bastrop, Caldwell, Gonzales, Lavaca, Colorado, Austin, Washington and Burleson.
Good Fortune and Happy Hunting,
Becky Sager Guess
