Thanks for the information. My interest is how these folks might connect with some other LCT surnames. It seems that Robert and Sarah were on the 1880 Cooke Co., TX census, with only initials listed, with three children. There are two county books from that area I will need to check besides the tax records, which are at the library in Gainesville. There are some more records for Lamar Co. that need to be checked. So far, at least two of Robert and Sarah's sons were in what became early Love Co., OK before statehood days. At least one son Isaac and his family, along with some nephews are buried at Graham Cemetery in Carter Co., OK. The familysearch.org site only provided one death certificate for anyone with parents Robert Taylor and an Eslick, so it looks like all of Robert and Sarah's children did not stay in Texas or died before death certificates were recorded. That one was born in the 1890's so it was not Robert and Sarah's. If Robert and Sarah died in Cooke Co., TX before 1900, there might be marked graves in the cemetery book, but if they died in Indian Territory before 1900, then marked graves will be unlikely, since where at least one son lived, the cemetery with marked graves was bulldozed and destroyed. Will need to do some more research trying to find where their daughters and other sons lived. Notify Administrator about this message?
