Hi my name is Ryan Gaston. I was born and raised in southern Missouri but my great grandfather and great great grandparents where from eastern TN. Unfortunately, I do not have a great knowledge of Loudon County. I believe that my g-g grandparents where a Sallie Ann Evans (5th Civil District, Piney Post Office, Loudon, 1880 census) and a Joseph Gaston (Monroe, border of Loudon 1880). Joseph and his brother George (Loudon, Morganton Post Office, 6th Civil District, 1880 census) lived around the Bat Creek community at this time. I'm trying to determine the general area that Sallie lived. I cannot find a map of the civil districts of Loudon and the Piney post office closed in 1902. I cannot find where this would be located on the map. Joseph Gaston married Sallie Ann Evans in the 1880s and had three boys (William H Gaston, Edward Gaston, and John w. Gaston) before moving to Texas County, Missouri around 1890. I believe that the record of Sarah Ann Evans marrying Joseph Gaston on May 1st, 1881 may be the marriage between Sallie and Joseph. My father remembers that Sallie may have been called Sarah as well. Thanks, Ryan Gaston p.s. Sallie Ann Evans is listed as being mulatto. I have a photo of her sister (M. Evans) and son (James E. Evans) from around 1895. Both Sallie and Mollie Evans appear to be Indian. Is there any listings that might be of use to try and track their background? Notify Administrator about this message?
