Kemp Family - But, Which One??

I am attempting to find which branch of the Kemp family that my gg-grandmother might have belonged to.

I recently learned that my gg-grandmother's maiden name was "Kemp", and in the census records of 1870 - Smith Co. TN. and 1880 - Warren Co., KY., she is listed as Fannie and Frances - b. abt. 1847

Frances married Andrew Carter in about 1865-66. Andrew was b. 1847 in Macon County, and was the son of Harlan Carter and Joanna Davis.

However, I also have a photo of a grave site of one of Frances's sons "Andrew Mat. Carter" wherein her 1st name is inscribed on the grave marker as J.F.

If anyone can provide any information re J. Frances/Fannie Kemp Carter &/or her Kemp family, I would really appreciate it. Thanks ~ Judy
