Calvin Calloway Hanes, B: Dec 30,1830; D: May 16, 1909, did in fact marry Sarah Jane Gibson. No further info on her. His younger brother, John Henry Hanes, b: Dec 29, 1842, d: Nov 24, 1915, married Samantha Gibson, b: November 15, 1852 and died May 15,1955, being almost 103 years old. Both Hanes were sons of Thomas Allen Hanes who had 17 children. His father, Benjamin Hanes, a Revolutionary War veteran came to Northern part of Macon County (then Smith County, TN) and settled there soon after 1800. The area was called Hanestown. Many descendants in that area. I have no record of John R. Alexander. There are many Alexanders in Allen County, KY, which is just north of Hanestown.
