Thank you for replying to my post. I find Thomas Hanes and sons Calvin and John H. living close to William Gibson and his daughters Sarah and Cymantha in the 1850 Macon county census. The census gives the age of John H. Hanes as 9 years old. Also gives the age of Cymantha as 9 years of age. Could there be a mistake in the birth date you list for Samantha that married John H. Hanes? Other information that I have recieved Samantha married John Alexander. I do believe that Sarah Gibson married Calvin Hanes. Do you know what happened to Calvin and Sarah after the 1860 census?
