Page 94, Volume I, Macon County Cemetery Book, states:
Samantha P. Hanes 15 Nov 1852 - 15 May 1955.
John H. Hanes 1842 - 24 Nov 1915.
Both buried in Haysville cemetery.

Quite sure the dates are correct as I remember when she died as she was the first person over 100 year old that I knew (or heard of) being in the area. I was born in 1940 in Allen County and quite sure I would not remembered her dying if it were in 1945 as I lived away from 1944 to 1946. She died in Florida. My records show that he died in Macon County.

There is one Hanes niece still living who still has her mental capacity to answer questions. If you will answer this mail to my E-Mail address with your phone, I will attempt to have her call you.
