Would like information on the M.C.F. Institute, Jackson, Tn.

I have a letter or notice of some kind with the heading... and then the body:

M. C. F. INSTITUTE,
JACKSON, TENN.
________
The contemplated Tower is to be 18 x 18 feet and 75 feet high, containing four rooms, with an observatory on top, and is therefore useful as well as ornamental.
It is now under contract and will cost about $1,100. The money for its erection is needed. Please forward the $5.00 by P.O. order or otherwise, to Prof. G.C. Jones, Sec'y, or myself.
It is to be named the Alumnae Tower and will be dedicated to their memory. Most truly your friend,
A. W. Jones
[note in pencil says "answer soon"]

This was in other papers that I have, that are all from the 1880s and 1890s.

Anyone know what this MCF Institute is/was?

Thanks a lot!
Donna
