Thank you. I appreciate your help. I found an obit. for him and have talked with a grand daughter of his. I am slowly pieceing my puzzle together. I still need to find another relative.One that knows who Herman's great-grandfather was. His grand daughter has lots of info, her mother did research but, none of us know who Robert Newsom's, born 1827 in Tn., parents were. Hopefully another helpful person will read this and know.There are still a lot of descendants in the Jackson and Malesus area. The grand daughter has lost contact with her cousins there. Maybe one will read this.
