Well, he MIGHT be a kinsman to William S. Hardin, by the Sophronia DRAKE that is living with he and his parents at the time of the 1850 census, BUT he absolutely is related to Parthena. Her sister, Sabertha A. married Bennett on January 5, 1858 in Madison Co., TN.) (William S. Also note that there was probably a son not enumerated on the 1850 census. That being Joseph (Jo), as he WAS enumberated on the 1860, as being born in about 1845.)) (After looking at the 1850 census more, it appears that John Hardin (29) is not the child of Mary, and might be a much younger brother of Hiram, or maybe even a nephew.) Hiram Hardin died after the 1850 census. I do not know if it was before or after his death, but most of the remaining family, can be found in Macon Co., TN. Just on the border of KY. A little north-east of Nashville. It was probably before he died, because I do not see his widow, with all the youngins moving on their own. There are a few, HARDINs that remained in Madison Co. 1860 Madison Co., TN - Civil Dist 8 - Jackson P.O. - July 26, 1860 - page 141/132A 964/996 Thomas Newsome household HARDIN, Robert 18 - TN 965/997 HARDIN, M.
