William McMurry was born c1795 in NC and was last found in 1850 Marion Co., TN, widowed with three female children. By 1860 he and the children are gone. I believe he had at least six children. The last three were Elizabeth, Cynthia and Emily. I believe he was the William listed in the 1830 and 1840 Marion County census.
Who was William McMurry and what became of his children?
