Joe Bryant (buried at Cookston Cemetery, Sequatchie County) was my great grandfather. According to family lore, he was murdered about 1892 but I cannot find any corroborating evidence (newspaper articles, police investigation, coroner's inquest, official death notices, etc.). If anyone has any ideas about this or has run across any information, please contact me. This single piece of info has eluded me for nearly 30 years.
