Years ago I sent to the family history center in Utah for
marriage records of my Allen family and received copy
of record for Robert and Eliz Bradley in the 1840's I
believe. I have since misplaced it. During my searching
I found that Robert and Elizabeth had two sons, William Thomas Allen b. abt 1849 and Addison Perry Allen b.1852,
and have since
learned that they were Robert's by Elizabeth who died
in childbirth. Her sister; Sarah Bradley married Robert and they had 4 children. Robert was my ggrandfather. he died May 1862 in Columbus Mississippi right after the battle of Shiloh. He is buried in the Lowndas Co Military
Cemetery in Columbus, Ms.
At that time I did not connect this with the same family
and now I would like to get the exact date of their
marriage and her death date. One of their half-sisters was my grandmother.
I do not know the date of marriage nor where Elizabeth
is buried.
As William Thomas Allen was listed in the 1850 Wayne Co Dist 10 Census as 1 year of age,
but Addison P. was not in the census because he was born after census was taken, he is in the 1860 Census of Cypress Inn Tn, that the marriage and her death took place
in Wayne Co Tn., since then I have seen somewhere that
Elizabeth was married and died in Maury Co.
If anyone has infomation regarding this or have a correction to be made I would appreciate hearing from you.
