I'm trying to trace my father's ancestry. James Ray Staggs (my father)is the son of Nathan McKinley Staggs and Eva Lois Rigsby; his siblings are Mary Ann Staggs and Dean Staggs (now deceased). Nathan's parents were William C. Staggs and Loretta T. Weaver. Eva's parents were Shady B. Rigsby and Annie (not sure of the maiden name). It is my understanding that there were two Staggs clans in Tennessee. Is this true? If it is, to which clan does my father belong? Is anyone familiar with my father and/or his relatives? Thank you.
