I am looking for a Hughes who might have married a Rogers of McMinn Co, TN sometime around 1870.

The 1880 Census of Marshall Co, AL has a family of a Jeremiah Rodgers b 1816 NC. This Jeremiah was living in McMinn Co. in Etowah-Athens area on the 1870 census with several daughters. His son James M. Rogers stayed in McMinn.

The 1880 census I mentioned has a dau of Jeremiah named Hannah Rodgers born 1855 GA as babysitting for two nephews. They are named

GEORGE HEWS born age 8 months born Oct 1879 GA. and a

JAMES SEMORE b 1875 GA

I have never found the parents of these infants.

The other daughters of Jeremiah are Sarah Elizabeth b 1853,
Rutha b 1864 GA
Martha b 1867 GA
The two younger ones could not have married a Semore, but possibly could be a mother to George Hews.

Let me know if you have any clues.
