Who was Wm. Brownlow Erwin named after?

There is a William Brownlow Erwin (1831-1894) in my family tree. He married Sarah "Sally" Gregory (1834-1879) in McMinn County, TN.

William Brownlow Erwin was the son of Wlliam M. (b. 1797 in VA) and Elizabeth "Betty" Stanton (b. 1802 in SC). William M. and Betty were married in 1821 in Blount County, TN.

William Brownlow Erwin was the sibling of my G-G-Grandmother Lucinda Erwin Walton. Additional siblings of William Brownlow Erwin were Mary Jane, Lewis, Joseph Darius, Isaac Robert, John A and ,twind Andrew and Sarah E.

I am wondering if there is a Brownlow Surnamed individual in my heritage whom William Brownlow Erwin was named in honor of?
