Hi,

I'm looking for information on a Jim (James) Hawkins who married a Mary May. He could have been a doctor. This would probably be around the 1820's give or take 10 years. Possibly McMinn County. They had a daughter, Mary Ann, b. before 1833 who married a Gilbreath. They also had a son James (James Owen) who became a captain in the Confederate Army. After the close of the war Capt. James (Owen) Hawkins was found in McLennan County, Texas. His sister and her husband were in the same area. Walnut Springs or something like that.
