I am researching the tree of a 92 year old friend. She gave me names of her parents but I am having trouble locating/verifying her grandparents. Following is what I know, any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
William C. Ellis born 1879 in McNairy Co, TN (my friend's father)
Richard H. Ellis born Dec. 1876 in McNairy Co, TN
Their mother is: Cynthia Jane Adams born about 1847 and her mother might be Mary ? born around 1817.
William and Richard's father's name might be William and he might have had children from a previous marriage, one being named Pete. I have found the census records from 1880 to 1930 but none of those include any paternal information. I also am having trouble locating marriage, birth & death records. Her request to me was to find out if her father, William C., had any half siblings.
