I am looking for information on Esseany Highsmith. She is the grandmother of my grandmother, Essenia Hysmith Jackson.I believe the name listed on the 1860 census record is mis-spelled. The info.I have show an Esseany Highsmih, age 70, (widow) living with her daugter Abie Highsmith and son-in-law Calvin Plunk in McNairy Co.Abie Highsmith is the sister of my great-grandfather, Daniel Thomas Hysmith. I need a last name for Esseany born about 1810. She would be the mother of Daniel Thomas Hysmith. Daniel's father is D.H.Hysmith but his wife's name is spelled Arena or Arthenia on an 1860 census record. Any infomation would be appreciated.
