My great-great grandmother,Louisa TRAMMELL/HENDERSON, was born in Illinois about 1825.She married Malachi UNDERWOOD,(born bet 1809-1818 Green Co,Ky-parents born in NC according to 1880 census)in Scott Co,Ark in 1846. He may be related to James,William, and William B.Underwood of Green Co,Ky,Madison Co,Mo and Scott & Johnson Co,Ark. Louisa may have been Cherokee Indian.Her mother was a BOX and is buried at an Indian cemetary on Vernon Mtn,River Mtn Rd,Delaware,Ark.
The 1880 Logan Co,Ark census showed Louisa's father was born in Tn,mother in NC.
I have found in 1840 Johnson Co,Ark a Henry & James BOX. Henry is in Newton Co,Ark in 1850,(age 56 born in SC).He is still there in 1860(age 65 born in SC). He may be related to Louisa's mother. Information on Henry's brother Meredith BOX says 'he was of Cherokee Indian descent'.
Trying to find more on Malachi & Louisa's parents and siblings.
