Here are a few things to get you started.

First, do a Google search on "Dunroamin" and "Tennessee". The camp apparently still exists.

Maybe get the Social Security Number applications for these folks. Cost around $30 each, if I remember right. Should have lots of good family info.

Social Security Death Index Social Security Death Index
Name: Charles Gearish
SSN: 411-52-9460
Last Residence: 37334 Fayetteville, Lincoln, Tennessee, United States of America
Born: 28 Jan 1892
Died: Apr 1976
State (Year) SSN issued: Tennessee (1951 )

Social Security Death Index Social Security Death Index
Name: Havelon E. Gearish
SSN: 411-52-9774
Born: 8 Apr 1903
Died: Jun 1991
State (Year) SSN issued: Tennessee (1951 )

Maybe get death certificates and obituaries for both.

1900 Federal Census - Illinois - Vermillion County - Grant Township

GEARISH Family
John, Head, 36
Mary E.C., Wife, 34
Alanson C., Son, 8

John and Mary had been married 10 years, with only one child. John was born in PA, his father in Germany, his mother in France. Mary was born in IL, her father in OH, her mother in PA. Alanson was born in IL.

World War I Draft Registration of June 12, 1917 for Decatur, Illinois.

GEARISH, Charles Alanson, born 01/28/1892 in (Rossville/Roseville?), IL. Working in banking. Living at the YMCA in Decatur. Single.

With a little work, you should find both Charles and Havelon in the 1910/20/30 Federal Censuses.

Good luck!
