THANK YOU, WILLIAM!!! This is my grandfather, no doubt. For some reason I had never found the WWI Reg. In response to the other questions:
1) He was white (presumably of Welsh descent)
2) Until now I'd only been able to find him in one Detroit census AFTER he was married to my grandmother.
3) married "NELLIE" DONAHUE, 29 Aug 1919, Detroit, MI (It gives his birth year as 1891 instead of 1890 --common enough alteration)
4) I've been told he died 9 SEPT 1948 "in or near" Cincinnati, OH--I don't know how they got that date because no one knew/knows where he is buried. Presumably he's in an unmarked grave in Cincinnati, but I've been unable to find any death record. It could be wrong information, but it's all I have to go on presently.
5) I don't think he truly had an occupation. I "think" he had many jobs, none long-term....don't know for certain.
6) I don't think he served in the military.
Truthfully, I've had VERY LITTLE knowledge, therefore, very little to go on. I just got the marriage info. a few days ago---that was my first knowledge of his parents' names. I had been told he was from TN, and the census indicated that his parents were both born in TN, so I've been combing TN censuses, but had been unable to find anything---even now with his parents' names. This Chattanooga, Hamilton Co,, TN, therefore, is valuable information. Thank you, again.
