Thanks for your reply. I have seen this before and it is the only I think my Charles C. is the son of Charles C. and Elizabeth Prior. However, my Charles C. does name one of his sons after his brother, Creed Taylor, so again I think my Charles C. is Eliz.and Charles C sr.'s son- just can not find him on any census or land ownings until 1850.
Thanks again for your help- maybe someone somewhere knows about this man.
