There may not be anything to this but here goes. Here's a family from the 1910 Putnam Co, TN census. Either the age of the wife or the number of years married is obviously wrong. I can't find any of these people in 1920 except for Logan Hargis who is in prison. I'm wondering if it could be your Sullivan family. Maybe they changed their name when Logan went to jail? On the 1920 census that Constance found the listing for Sallie Sullivan says she is married but there's no sign of her husband. I've looked for marriage records for the Hargis children without any luck. However there is a 1911 marriage for a Haskel Sullivan and marriages for an Eliza Sullivan and a Miss Donnie Sullivan over the next several years in Putnam Co.
