For an obituary, you might want to try the Memphis Public Library (http://www.memphislibrary.org). They may be willing to look for the obit since you have a date of death.
Ancestry.com shows a WWI Draft Registration Card for Hiram Tyre Adair in Bourbon County. I’m not a subscriber, so I can’t pull up the details. An index shows death certificates for A.P. Adair (d. 1934 Bourbon County) and Mrs. Kittie Adair (maiden name Stolworthy, d. 1925 Bourbon County) are available. If you also aren’t a subscriber, and you need copies of any of these, let me know. I will look them up and e-mail the images to you next time I visit my library (I’m up there about once a week).
