I took a second look at your problem. I don't think I made any progress though. You probably noticed the following family in the 1880 Putnam Co, TN census. 1880 United States Federal Census District 1, Putnam, Tennessee NA Film Number T9-1275, Page Number 82D Henry HARGET Self M Male W 44 TN Works On Farm TN TN Margret HARGET Wife M Female W 44 TN Keeping House TN TN William HARGET Son S Male W 18 TN Works On Farm TN TN Andy HARGET Son S Male W 6 TN TN TN Dulceny BRUINGTIN Niece Female W 20 TN Housekeeping TN TN William SULIVAN Nephew S Male W 18 TN Works On Farm TN TN M.D. BRUINGTIN GDau S Female W 8M TN TN TN I think I found them in the 1870 census in Clinton Co, KY. That census is very hard to read because of the horrible handwriting of the enumerator. 1870 United States Federal Census District 1, Clinton Co, Kentucky, p. 19? Henry Hargett 30 m w farm laborer TN Margaret Hargett 31 f w keeping house TN Steven? A.D. Hargett? 8 m w at home TN Dulcina? Sullivan? 10 f w at home TN Wm G? Sullivan? 8 m w at home Mary Lou Sullivan? 28 f w at home With the Sullivan connection that Harget family is interesting but I can't find anything for sure before 1870. I still don't know if Dulcina and William are related by blood to Henry or Margaret. They are described as niece and nephew in the 1880 census. You can search the 1930 census for someone in Nashville listed as an inmate in a hospital or other institution. I tried it for "Logan" as a first name and for "Sullivan" and "Harg*" for the last name without any meaningful hits. If you know any other names he used you might try that.
