I am researching a Robert Brown born abt 1786 in Virginia. In 1850 he is living in Henry County, Missouri, Tebo Township, occupation listed as Farmer. He is living with Catharine Brown (age 50) not sure if this is his wife or not. Also in the home are George Brown (age 26), Andrew Brown (age 12), Jane Brown (age 10), Ellen Brown (age 8), Henry Brown (age 6), and Taylor Brown (age 3). By 1860, it is just Catharine, with a Sarah J Brown (age 18), Nelley Brown (age 17) Henry (age 16) Amelia (age 14) and Zachariah T Brown (age 12). Also living with them are Mary Nelson (age 29), John Nelson (age 6) Martha J Nelson (age 3) and a Charles Henry Peats (age 9). In the census information, 1850 lists Catharine's birthplace as Virginia, but in the 1860 census it lists Tennessee as her birthplace. Ironically Mary Nelson and George Brown are the only others listed with births in Tennessee. Everyone else, according to census birthplace is Missouri.
