Hi, my name is Chalice and I am needing help finding the father of John S. Smithson. John was born in 1828 and mairred Maltilda Owens on Oct. 23, 1851. Their son William is my Great Great grandfather. I beleive that John's mother is Joyce and his father maybe James Smithson born around 1790 in Smith Co. Tennessee. I do know that the family lived in Greene Co. and in Polk Co. Missouri. Until most of John S. Smithson's children moved to Ar. I am having a hard time with this, if anyone can help is would very nice. Thank You Chalice.
