Thanks to the courtesy of a cousin (8th removed on my father's side, really!)-- In addition to resource material in yesterday's posting on Tennessee Genealogy Forum, I now have a alternative listing of parents for SARAH JANE (SWINDLE)CUNNINGHAM.

Sarah Jane "Sallie" Swindle #2924 born 25 Oct 1799, Hyde Co.,NC-NC-NC, married 6 May 1813, in White Co.,TN, John Cunningham, Sr. #2923, born SEP 13 1792, VA, occupation farmer & merchant, died OCT 12 1858, Warren Co.,TN, buried: Cunningham Cemetery,Warren Co.,TN. Sarah died after 1880, (Warren Co.)TN, buried: (Cunningham Cemetery,Warren Co.,TN). No absolute proof of her parentage, however, her birth-date, birth-place & her childrens' census data suggest her ancestry probably assigns her to the Christopher SWINDLE line...DAH
Appears in 1880 Warren County Census, living with son, George...DAH.

2. Christopher Swindle #3861 born MAR 03 1770, Hyde Co.,NC, married in (Hyde Co.,NC), Anna Swindle #3876, born DEC 20 1766, (Hyde Co.,NC), died 01-MAY-1830, (White Co.,TN). Christopher died MAY 01 1830, White Co.,TN. Birth and death dates from Swindle Family Bible printed in Van Buren Co.,TN Historical Journal VIII. Listed father as Caleb and mother, Keziah.
So Sharon, there we have it---yesterday posting regarding the esteemed genealogists' book or today's posting citing the family bible.........
Do you or other readers of this Forum have different source documents as to the parents of SARAH JANE (SWINDLE) CUNNINGHAM and/or her husband JOHN CUNNINGHAM OF Rock Island, Warren Co, TN?
