Nora Baxter was boun near Columbia, Tn. She was born in 1876. Her family is in Lewis Co. Tn in the 1880 census. I have no idea where Whitfield Reneau was born. Except for his family being in Jefferson, Tn. in the 1870 census. I only learned of this first marriage after I started doing genealogy. They had a son, Harvey Whitfield, who is buried in the Baxter Cemetery in Maury County. I think he was named after his Dad and a Baxter uncle. I don't know what happened to Mr. Reneau.
My grandmother, Nora married my grandfather, F.(Forgey) A. Hood in April of 1900, and my mother, Sadie Hood was born Dec. 17m 1900 in Maury Co., Tn. I found Nora Reneau and F. A. Hood's marriage liscense at the courthouse in Columbia. Thanks for any information anyone can give.
