Looking for descendants of (and any other info such as siblings, parents, documents, later residences regarding) John Moore on 1830 census (pg. 53 of 62 on ancestry.com) Blount County, Tennessee, Eastern Division, which is the Cades Cove area of the Smoky Mountains. John is age 40-under50. One female (probably wife) in household is age 30-under 40. In John’s household are 8 younger males, zero female minors. The 8 other males are enumerated as: 2 under 5 yrs old., 3 age 5-under10 yrs, 2 age 10-under15 yrs, 1 age 15-under 20 yrs. This is the only personal information I know about this John Moore. This John Moore is possibly an ancestor of mine so I’m searching for his wife’s and children’s names or any other known info. I have lots to share on my Moore line from that region. In 1830, John resides between James Moore and Thomas Carver. This John Moore and “next door” neighbor James ARE NOT in Blount County in 1840. (There are DIFFERENT John & James Moores in 1840 Blount.) I do not know whether 1830 Blount Co. John & James Moore are related or not. Some of John’s 1830 neighbors are some usual early Cades Cove surnames such as Tipton, Cable, Oliver, Shields, Mackey, Gorely, Renfro, as well as other neighbors. Any information you can share about this John Moore (born abt 1780-1790) would be deeply appreciated. If you have looked at Cades Cove area info perhaps you’ve run across something about him….or if you’re related to him then you and I might be cousins. In addition, I would like to compare a DNA on 1830 Blount Co. John Moore with a DNA analysis done on my line. Some of my Moore ancestors/cousins have married into Cades Cove families such as the Cables, Gregorys, Mackeys, Tiptons, probably others. Thanks for your time, Marcella
