Possibility, but he could be on his own and listed as - hired man, farm worker, etc.........

He is not listed in 1900 anywhere.

Social Security Death Index = FREE, Searchable = ALL STATES
* * * * * This index features individuals who died after 1960. * * * * * *
Use the ADVANCED option

DO NOT SEARCH FOR A MARRIED WOMAN USING HER MAIDEN NAME.

Choices -
Order his death cert from the county of death Clerk's Office
If he appears on the SSDI list, look to the right for "SS-5 Letter". A form letter allowing you to order a copy of his SS application on which he listed his parents names.
