NO Relation...

I tried to locate her, but no luck. Will pass on what I did find tho..

First, LDS shows the marriage as you noted it:
LDS:
William Davis
M. Aug 21 1853 Rhea TN to Serena Crispe
no source for information

But with no source for where the info came from, ie member submitted or county record, it's hard to confirm or verify.

Another database showed me:
Tennessee Marriages
a William Davis m. 1853 in Rhea County to Cornice Crape
(I don't have access to this database to get full date)

I went to census.
First thing I checked out was what Cri*p* resided in Rhea County.

none in 1850

1860
I find 3 Crisp* families:

CRISP ELIAS 47 M W KY TN RHEA PRESTONVILLE P O
Elias 47 KY
Mary 40 TN
Emly 10
Nancy E 7

CRISP JOHN R 36 M W TN RHEA PRESTONVILLE P O
John R 36 Farmer
Rutha 80 NC

CRISP JAMES 59 M W NC TN RHEA PRESTONVILLE P O
James Crisp 59 Farmer NC
Franes M " 47 TN
Milly A "18
Sarah M " 12
Marion Watson 26 male farmer
Susan E " 28
Manerva Watson 30 female
William " 8
Leander " 3
Rebecca J 1

These families, in 1850:

McMinn, Tennessee
James Crisp 51 farmer
Frances 31
Minerva 25
Emaline 19
Ruthy 15
Milly 12
Margaret 5
Frank 4

Roane, Tennessee
Elias Crisp 34 Farmer
Polly 29
Rutha C? 10
Martha (T L or S) 8
Susan E 1
John 83
John R 33
Ruth 73

I could not locate your William Davis in 1860 with so little information to go on. None appeared in Rhea County with any of those given names (William, Corine, Cornice, Serena, etc..)
