I am afraid I do not know of your Jesse BAILEY's family, but the fact that they gave one of their children the middle name of HUNTER is an interesting sign- HUNTER was a prominent Lewis Co./Maury Co., TN surname.

My ancestors lived in Mount Pleasant and Mount Joy. They were Presbyterians, mostly. My surnames in the area are: BECKUM, KING, PENNINGTON, PICKARD, and others too. One BAILEY family I happen to have in my file is that of Peter C. BAILEY. Who knows- maybe there's a connection somewhere.
