Looking for further information on Smith Family who settled in Sullivan Co Tn specifically POPLAR RIDGE where the some of the family still reside. My mother Georgia was daughter of Murphy, who was son of Granville Torbett Smith and Sara Kate Barr. Granville was son of Solomon Smith and Eliza Arrants.
We are trying to determine who Solomon's parents may have been. Records are showing a John and another Solomon who recieved land grants that seem to coinside with some of the information we have . Any help would be appreciated.
