I have two separate Smith branches who are
in Tennessee for several generations, but
can't find a connection, these are my SMITHs

Burgess Harold Smith b 23 Dec 1912 son of
Jesse Frederick Smith b. 23 Nov 1891
Nashville, TN who was the son of
Burgess Harold Smith b. 4 Oct 1863 TN who
was son of Jesse F. Smith b. 26 Nov 1825 who
was son of Capt.John Smith b.SC d. Warren
Co. TN
I would love to learn which Capt. John Smith
this is--- anyone able to shed any light?

Then a separate family of SMITHs:

Arthur Dewey Smith b 22 Aug 1898 son of
James William Smith b. Dec 1855 TN and
Nora Broadrick b. Aug 1861 TN
This Smith family lived in Robertson Co., TN
before moving to Davidson Co. James was
55yrs old when he moved to Davidson Co in
1910. Any hints about these folks?
