I dont know if this would be any help but
My great great granmother was a cherokee in oklahoma and married a whitson around the same time.. My grandmothers last name was johnson and she married a reese ...I feel really bad I cant rember my grandmothers name ..but I think its helen ...but I dont know what her mother's name was though ..well thats all I can do ..oh and my grandmother was kicked out for marrying the whitson man and was taken in by the family...I hope this helps a little
