1822-1823 TENNESSEE PETITION :
Not dated : 1822-23 : MONROE CO. ( TN ) citizens petition the establish a permanent seat of justice by holding an election in each Captain's Co. to select a site, as was done in McMinn Co. ( TN ) in 1821.
