I,too, have been doing research on the Morrow family in Montgomery Co.; however, I am researching Randall Morrow. I believe that Randal and Ransom may be related (brothers or cousins) because James Morrow acted as security on both Randal's and Ransom's marriage licenses. In 1860 Randall was 45 and Ransom was 42. Both lived in the Palmayra community. Both had daughters named Sarah. I found a book at our local library that lists obituaries in Mont. Co. I found a William Morrow. The item states "born on 7 April 1851 in Montgomery County, TN, in Dist. #9. Died 19 June 1885. Son of Ransom Morrow, in Dist. #9. Mentions having brothers Charles and Ben Morrow and a brother-in-law, Dr. P. F. Bellamy. Twice married. Leaves five children, two are by the first wife. Baptist. Interment at his home on Blooming Grove Creek. Semi-Weekly Tobacco Leaf (local newspaper) 30 June 1885, p.1" I have some other information, but I haven't been able to tie Randal and Ransom together other than speculation.
