Samuel Jackson James - Murder Trial abt 1878
I am looking for the court records and any newspaper articles on a murder trial for Samuel Jackson James. This would have occurred about 1878 or 1879 in Lynchburg. Samuel accidentally killed a man when Samuel went to the defense of a woman. He was tried and found not guilty. I would appreciate any information any one can provide including if you know of any links to old Lynchburg court records or newspapers. Thank you.
