I'm looking for additional info on the James & Elizabeth Wilson (Willson) family from Morgan County, TN. I'd like to find their parents, birth, death and marriage dates, place of burial, children's spouses name, etc. Here is what I have on them so far:
James Wilson
Born: abt 1805/1806 in Tennesse
Died: after 1861, possibly in Morgan County, TN
Married about 1832 to
Elizabeth (lastname unknown)
Born: abt 1813 in KY
Died: before 1860, possibly in Morgan, TN
Their children are:
1) Joseph A Wilson b. 1834 TN (probably Morgan County)
...................d. maybe 1919 in Lamar County, TX
...................Married Catherine Franklin abt. 1853
2) John C Wilson b. 1836 TN (probably Morgan County)
3) James F Wilson b. 1838 TN (probably Morgan County)
4) Mary A Wilson b. 1840 TN (probably Morgan County)
5) Samuel T Wilson b. 1842 TN (probably Morgan County)
6) Henry C Wilson b. 1844 TN (probably Morgan County)
7) Christiana E Wilson b. 1846 TN (probably Morgan County)
8) William Z T Wilson b. 1850 TN (probably Morgan County)
9) Windfield S Wilson b. 1854 TN (probably Morgan County)
I've found this James Wilson (Willson) family
in these US Census:
1830 - McMinn County, TN
1840 - Morgan County, TN
1850 - Subdivision 19, Morgan County, TN
1860 - District 4, Morgan County, TN
Goodspeed's History of Morgan County, TN lists
a James Wilson as sherriff from 1843 to 1848. I think
this is the same person.
Any additional info would be greatly appreciated!!!
