Hi Sue, In most of the census records that are available online...and in two documents that he dictated, probably around 1898, one for a newspaper article done by a reporter/relative, Doris Reisinger,in another for an article about his daughter Sarah Elizabeth Neihart. Patrick was a registered Montana Pioneer, (listed in the Registry of Society of Montana Pioneers, Vol. I, 1899, pg.159), who also lived in Oregon, and fought in the Rogue River Wars there. In the census enumerations on a couple different occasions he stated his father's name as Jefferson, but on most others he calls him William Jefferson Patrick, and mother being Jemima Walker. One of Patrick's sons from his second marriage was named Jefferson too, as I recall. One of these days I hope to find the time to transcribe the documents I have. The newspaper article has a photo of Patrick too, but much of my information is in storage, and I've just not had the time. There is some information about Patrick's three daughters from his first marriage (my line). All three of them came up from MO to Ft. Benton, MT, in 1882. There is one census record that lists Patrick erroneously as Patricks. Notify Administrator about this message?
