Looking for info about Cordie Conner Melton born abt 1886, died abt 1916. She was born in TN and was living in Oklahoma according to the 1910 census for Wray Township (of Southeastern Oklahoma)with her husband, Webbie Denson Melton, and two sons, Dewey and Haskell. Cordie is said to have died in 1916 and is believed to be buried in the Ti Valley area of Oklahoma. Ti Valley got its name from the reversal of the letters IT (for Indian Territory) and is in the southeastern part of Oklahoma. Would love to know more about Cordie and her family. It is said she was the only girl in a large family of brothers. Two of the brothers are said to be Carl and George. Her parents were in Texas in later years. A message received recently says that she and her family could have been from the area of Overton and Pickett counties of TN. Any info is appreciated.
