Bob, thanks so much for your reply.

The family I am interested in lived there in the early 1900s but the father of the family died in 1912 and the children appear to have moved to surrounding communities, such as Soddy Daisy, Cleveland, Walton Mtn or something like that.

What is the history behind that community? The father was listed as a watchman for a mica mine on the 1910 census. Was it a mining community?

Names were Stephen A Palmer, sons, Wm and Andrew, Daughters, Laura, Mary and Anne.
