I am trying to find out about MARIAN DENTON (male) and JAMES DENTON who may have been his brother. I have been trying to find out if MARIAN DENTON appears on the 1870 Polk Co Census.

On the 1860 Polk Co Census, MARIAN (male) DENTON, age 21, is enumerated with JAMES DENTON:

1860 Polk Co TN Census:

James Denton 32
Dicey 25
Charity 6
George 4
Nancy 1
Marian (male) 21

There is another Denton family in the area who had a son named Francis Marion Denton, but this is not the same person as the Marian above as both are enumerated in 1860 separately in Polk County (shown below).

1860 Polk Co TN Census

James Denton
wife (not named in post)
Francis M. age 23 (male)
Melissa age 20
James age 16
Margaret age 12
Winfield age 10
Tillie age 8

1870 Polk Co TN Census

DENTON, Francis M. 33, male, white Post Master, born TN
Mary G. 27 female white born TN
Laura L. 8 f TN
Ellen 6 f TN
George 4 m TN
Nancy 1/12 f TN
2nd district, page 19, entry #140

I would appreciate any further information on James or Marian Denton and their family.
