Leah,
I find Nancy J in the household of Nathaniel Gillum (59) and Sarah S (49) during the 1850 Rhea Census. Nancy J is 13 years old. I doubt very seriously that she was the daughter of Major and Abbey as Abbey was only 20 years old during the 1850 census. Major and Abbey had one child 6 months old during this census. Nancy J and James S Holloway were married Aug 19, 1858, here in Rhea County.
