I am looking for any information on David Coontz and wife Sarah McClannahan Coontz. David was born in VA in 1800 and died in Rhea County, TN in 1868. His wife was born in 1806 in TN, and died in 1855, I am assuming also in Rhea County.
In the 1850 census, he, wife and family are listed as living in Eastern District, Bledsoe, TN.
I cannot find info on who his parents were. If you know of any records that might have this info please email me. Any information at all you can give (tax records, land deeds, death/birth certificates, etc) would be greatly appreciated. I am stuck trying to get farther back in my Coontz family tree than David and Sarah. Thank you in advance!!!
