Requesting cemetery look-ups for Morgan County (near
Oakdale) and Roane County (near Kingston) for my
gr-gr-grandparents.
In Roane County near Kingston: John W. Darty (may be listed
as Daughtery or Doughtry) by KY about 1845 -- was still
alive in 1870 census with wife Elizabeth (Martin) Darty. She
was born in Roane Co., TN about 1848. They may have moved
to Morgan County before dying -- or the county lines may
have moved.
In Morgan County near Oakdale: George H. Smith born KY about
1839. His first wife was Elizabeth Eaton born in Roane
County, TN where the 1880 census shows them living.
By 1920 George and new wife Ronda Carroll are living in
Morgan County.
I do not know the death dates or birth dates of these folks,
but hope a cemetery look up will offer that information. In
exchange for the time it takes to look up this information,
I will gladly do look-ups for information in the
Vernon/Cedar/Polk Counties of Missouri; and/or search my
data base for surnames from this area.
