Willis Short, 5/18/1795 - 5/22/1879 Kendrick Graveyard, Roane Co., TN
Wife is Nancy Kendrick, 5/25/1800 - 7/6/1885 Kendrick Graveyard, Roane Co., TN
Son, Franklin Smiley Short, buried in a cemetery in Stone Co., MO
Son, Elias Bates Short, 1/9/1821 - 7/23/1914 Lindsey Cemetery, Stone Co., MO
Daughter, Mary Melcens Short McCullah, 11/2/1822 - 12/17/1860 Lindsey Cemetery, Stone Co., MO
Son, Samuel Short, 7/18/1824 - 12/7/1902 Lindsey Cemetery, Stone Co., MO
Son, John A. Short, 5/2/1825 - 1/2/1906 Short Cemetery, Stone Co., MO
Son, Jasper N. Short, born about 1825, probably died 1850-1860, may be at Kendrick Graveyard.
Daughter, Laurietta Short Chapman, wife of Francis Attebury Chapman, on the Tennessee State Library Archives webpage at:
http://state.tn.us/tsla/history/vital/d-roane1.htm
died in 1920 in Roane Co., TN, and is likely buried with her husband. She was still alive in 1920 for the census, located in Dist. 4, p. 2A, Roane Co., Tennessee.
Son, Edom Braid Short, 12/30/1832 - 11/4/1904 Short Cemetery, Roane Co., TN. I have not seen the cemetery, but it is said his second wife, Sarah A. W. Stancill Short, is buried with him there.
Son, Julius Short, 7/22/1834 - 2/4/1870, he is said by some to have married Roxanne Steele Ray, a widow, and he does not appear in the 1870 census. John Ray, the second husband of Roxanna Ray, was still alive in the 1870 census. Julius did live in the household in 1860.
Son, William F. Short, born about 1835 and most likely died in the Civil War, some have said he died in Virginia, but I have not found a cemetery location.
Son, Jackson Short, born about 1837 and most likely died in the Civil War, as well, some have said he died in Virginia, but I have not found a cemetery location. I have not checked Military records for either William F. or Jackson Short.
Daughter, Dianna Short Roberts, born about 1839, wife of Lewis Roberts, appeared in 1870 on P. 22, Union, Marion Co., Arkansas, by 1880 Lewis Roberts had remarried, in 1900 the census says that he married his second wife around 1871 and had been married for 29 years. Dianna Short Roberts is most likely buried in Marion Co., Arkansas, although I have not found a cemetery record for her.
Daughter, Letha Margaret Short Bailey, 9/20/1840 - 7/27/1937, Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood, Roane Co., TN
Son, Standifer Rice Short, born about 1842, it is said he also died in the Civil War, and some say he died in Richmond, Virginia. No cemetery listing has been found so far for him, either.

Many of Willis and Nancy Kendrick Short's grandchildren and their families who travelled westward are buried in 3 specific cemeteries in Stone Co., Missouri:
Oak Grove Cemetery, Stone Co., Missouri
Short Cemetery, Stone Co., Missouri
Galena Cemetery, Stone Co., Missouri

I do not know who Samuel F. Short 2/9/1868 TN - 4/26/1926 buried at Ponce-de-Leon Cemetery, Stone Co., Missouri would be, but he must be from the same family. In 1870, he is living in the household of John B. Kendrick and Martha Susan Owings Kendrick in Roane Co., TN. In 1880, he is living in the household of Samuel Kendrick and Mary Rector Kendrick in Roane Co., TN. In 1900, he is living with his wife Rhoda in Barry Co., Missouri with their son Leland H. Short. In 1920, he is with his second wife and other children. They do not appear to be buried in the same cemetery he is.

Hope this helps.
