I am searching for more information regarding the 1870 (June 18) marriage of George Bell to Eliza J. Bell. Is there anyone who can help? I don't know the parentage of my George Wesley Bell, but he was born in KY and fought in the Civil War wit the 13th Kentucky Calv. He and the family referred to his wife as "FINA" and they appear on the 1880 Gallatin Co. IL Census, with her as "Josie" so we thought her name was Josephine. They had several children, the oldest a son names Sherman. , I have since found her familiy prior to her marriange in Putnam Co. Tn, and she appears on the 1860 Census as LIZA.
She died around 1893-94 in Nashville, and was buried at Lovelady Cementery in Cookville-no records to prove it. GW BELL remmaried Thusey Rodgers Jul 31, 1884 in Putnam Co., and he died there in 1900 sometime after June.
